仮に、インプラントを選択する場合は考えてほしいことがあります。
『冠』の選択肢として、
①セラミック
②金
③銀
の中から患者さんが選択します。
一般的には『セラミック』を選択する患者さんが多いと思います。
天然歯と見た目が似ていて、違和感がないからです。
しかし、『セラミック』に亀裂が入り最終的に割れてしまった経験を持つ私は、前歯以外であれば『金』をお勧めします。
理由として、
・材質が強く、割れる心配がない
・汚れにくい
・高齢になり介護が必要になって、入れ歯にしたくなった時、『金』は売れる
それに『金』相場の観点から、10年前の約2倍に上がっています。
一時的に下がっても、価格が下がる心配がほぼ無いと考えられます。
私の口腔ケアは毎食後の歯磨き習慣と、就寝時のマウスピース装着です。
歯を欠損して、インプラントにしてから特に注意するようになりました。
基本は天然歯が一番です。
