先日、テレビで拉致被害者の親族を視ました。
北朝鮮により拉致が実行されて40年以上経過しています。
5人だけは小泉政権時に、当時の安倍晋三官房長官の“返さない“努力により日本に留まりました。
その他の被害者は未だに話が進んでいません。
被害者の親族も高齢となり、国民も時に流され関心が薄くなってきているのが現状です。
これでは、被害者親族はたまったものではありません。
進展させる方法がない訳ではありません。
厳しいようですが危険を冒してでも、国民に関心を持たせる手段をとるしかありません。
自らを犠牲にして一生、刑務所暮らしの覚悟ができなければ話は先に進まないと思います。
旧統一教会問題でも40年以上かかり、やっと政府が動き出しています。
国民に関心を持たせなくては、政府も本腰を入れないのが現実です。
今のままでは、この先も拉致被害者の帰国は無いと思います。
自分達のやりたいこと以外は、『世論』でしか政治家が動かないのは悲しいですね。

The other day, I saw a relative of an abductee on TV.
More than 40 years have passed since North Korea carried out the abduction.
Only five of them remained in Japan during the Koizumi administration, thanks to then-Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe's "non-return" efforts.
The other victims have not yet come forward.
The current situation is that the relatives of the victims are getting older, and the public is also getting carried away and has less interest in the issue.
This is not enough for the victim's relatives.
That's not to say there aren't ways to make progress.
It may seem harsh, but we have no choice but to take measures to get the public's attention, even if it means taking risks.
I don't think the story will move forward unless you are prepared to sacrifice yourself and live in prison for the rest of your life.
It took more than 40 years to resolve the issue of the former Unification Church, but the government is finally starting to take action.
The reality is that the government will not be serious about it unless it captures the interest of the people.
If things continue as they are now, I don't think any abductees will be able to return to Japan in the future.
It's sad that politicians only act on public opinion, except for what they want to do.
